Where the community becomes strength.
Albertans Helping Albertans.
It’s a simple idea — and a powerful one. The Alberta Cancer Foundation is proud to partner with the AGAT Priddis Greens Charity Classic to bring communities together in support of Albertans facing cancer. What began as a golf tournament has grown into a meaningful annual effort focused on easing the financial burden that often comes with a cancer diagnosis.
Neighbours Helping Neighbours
Nearly 60 Albertans are diagnosed with cancer every day, and alongside the emotional impact often comes significant financial strain. Funds raised support the Patient Financial Assistance Program, helping cover essential costs such as medications, transportation to treatment, temporary accommodations, and childcare. Community support allows patients and families to focus on healing instead of financial stress. During Neighbourhood Days beginning June 20, 2026, communities are invited to rally together in the spirit of Neighbours Helping Neighbours.
2026 AGAT Priddis Greens Charity Classic
The AGAT Priddis Greens Charity Classic returns August 20, 2026, with the AGAT Foundation and Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club serving as Title Sponsors. This year’s goal: $750,000 in donor and sponsor support. Every dollar raised directly supports Alberta Cancer Foundation programs that provide financial relief to patients and families across the province.
Together, We Make the Difference When communities come together, generosity creates real impact. Together, we can ease the burden, strengthen families, and support Albertans facing cancer — one community at a time.

Alberta Cancer Foundation's Patient Financial Assistant Program
Making life better for Albertans facing cancer. Every day, nearly 60 Albertans hear the words “you have cancer”. The Alberta Cancer Foundation stands alongside every Albertan who hears these words by offering three in return, “we will help”.
A diagnosis of cancer comes with many challenges, including financial hardship for the patients and their families. To help alleviate this burden, all the funds raised during the AGAT Priddis Greens Charity Classic will be donated to the Alberta Cancer Foundation Patient Financial Assistance Program. Cancer can be a huge strain on finances. People are often forced to cash in their retirement funds and use up their savings to make ends meet during their treatment. That’s why the Alberta Cancer Foundation also provides patients access to financial assistance to cover the out of pocket expenses for items such as medication, medical supplies, transportation, accommodations, and child care. In 2021, the Patient Financial Assistance Program was accessed 4,456 times by families across Alberta.
Thanks to our donors and this Charity Classic hosted by the AGAT Foundation, patients and families are able to receive the financial assistance they need, so they can focus on what matters most – healing.
We are hopeful to successfully elevate community support through the Neighbours Helping Neighbours program, so we can extend a helping financial hand to our neighbours faced with a most difficult diagnosis and challenged with the associated burdens.
Together, we can make a difference for Albertans facing cancer, one community at a time.
